Rafael Nadal was already through to the final, and the second semi-final saw Novak Djokovic win his way through to a showdown
against Nadal; after the Serbian top seed took out an epic five-setter against Scotland's Andy Murray.
Djokovic, thanks to an early break, took the first set 6-3. But Djokovic looked visibly fatigued during the second set, struggling to run
around the court; while the faster Murray took advantage, breaking Djokovic's serve to put the match back on even terms.
The third set was an epic, a contest within a contest that took nearly 90 minutes. Twelve games, all going with serve; many times
both players created break points but were unable to capitalise. Several games had gone to multiple deuces during the set, but with
no service games being broken, a tie-break was brought on. And Murray took the upper hand as he took the tie-break, going two
sets ahead.
But when the fourth set came on, Djokovic re-grouped. Breaking Murray's first two service games, Djokovic soon found himself 4-0
ahead and a third break would wrap up the set 6-1 to bring the match to a deciding set.
Momentum was running Djokovic's way, and after breaking Murray, he found himself 5-2 ahead and just one game away from the
match. Murray held his serve, and Djokovic was serving for the match. But the Brit sensationally pulled off a break to keep the
contest alive, then held to level the match at 5-5.

and by breaking Murray's serve in the 12th game of the set, Djokovic had taken the match. In four hours and 50 minutes, it was less
